King
Tut®
Egyptian Papyrus Grass
Height 48 to 72"
Space 36 to 48" apart
Hardy to 35 degrees Plant in Sun or Partial shade.
The plant can be planted
in pots, along the waters edge of a pond, or even in a pond.
The crown of the plant should never be covered in water and
in fact both of these varieties can thrive in water as shallow
as a few inches. The purpose is to keep the bulk of the soil
or root mass wet.
The root ball can be submerged but it isn’t necessary.
If the plant is put into a pot I would suggest plugging the
hole or holes in the bottom of the pot to keep as much water
as possible in the pot.

"NEW"
Pennesetum Fireworks
Showy upright growing grass to 4 feet tall
with leaf blades that are variegated with longitudinal stripes
of white, green and burgundy, imparting a candy cane-like
appearance to the new foliage. As with the typical Fountain
Grass (Pennisetum x advena 'Rubrum') it has purple tassels
in late summer that rise above the foliage. The variegation
fades in bright light and through the season with plants most
vibrant with new flushes so cutting back may be in order on
this cultivar.

The graceful movement is a highlight for any landscape. It is excellent as a specimen plant or providing a vertical accent in the landscape. Some designers use it for creating a fast developing screen. A combination of Karl Foerster feather reed grass with various other perennials makes a dramatic effect in the landscape. |

This ornamental grass does best in full sun to partial shade. It prefers to grow in moist to wet soil, and will even tolerate some standing water. It is not particular as to soil type, but has a definite preference for acidic soils, and is able to handle environmental salt.

Fiber Optic Grass
Live Wire is a Sedge, reaching 20 inches across in sun or part shade (or bright light indoors). Its stems grow up and out in a fountainous mass from the center, offering nice textural contrast to neighboring plants. Children are fascinated by its unusual shape, and it puts up with a lot of stress, from heat and humidity to poor soil. Hardy only in zones 8-10, it is worth growing as an annual farther north, and remains lovely for years when grown as a houseplant |
